Pakistan has reached a staff-level agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that could unlock about $1.2 billion in financing as the country faces higher energy costs and supply disruptions linked to the Middle East conflict.The agreement remains subject to approval by the IMF’s Executive Board.Once approved, Pakistan would receive about $1 billion under the Extended Fund Facility and another $210 million under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility, which supports climate-related reforms.The disbursements would bring…
