The Office of the Public Protector says persistent medication shortages, staff vacancies, and poor communication with patients remain a concern at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital. Public Protector Advocate Kholeka Gcaleka raised the issues during an unannounced visit to the hospital as part of Good Governance Month.
