NC President Gagan Thapa Kathmandu, October 10 Gagan Kumar Thapa has been elected president of the Nepali Congress, securing 6,584 votes in the party’s 15th general convention. Thapa defeated his rival, Shyam Krishna Khadgi, who received 375 votes, according to Mahesh Gautam, a member of the convention’s media centre.
