Egyptian prepares to deploy troops to Somalia

Technical military teams from Egypt, including advisors, trainers and officers, are reportedly busy preparing for the deployment of army troops to Somalia, the first such move in the Horn of Africa nation, since the signing of a joint military cooperation agreement between the two sides in 2024. The troop deployment will expectedly come in light of bilateral security and military cooperation between the two countries and within the African Union Mission, widely known as AUSSOM.
