
Gold holds gains as dollar steadies; silver jumps 2%

The US Dollar Index held nearly steady at 102.18 points during Friday's trading. Gold and silver prices rose on Friday, supported by lower oil prices, amid uncertainty over the outlook for the war between Washington and Tehran, now in its eighth month.
